My new year's resolution is to blog at least once a month…and it's Feb 2nd and I haven't blogged yet! So much for resolutions. Anyway, the reason for my resolution is so that I can remember what we have done throughout the year and how much Christine has changed. I always think I'll remember things, but it never happens! So, here we go….2011 begins and this is what we are up to:
Brian - the basement is complete thanks to my wonderful husband!!! We LOVE it and it looks awesome!!!
Bethany - took a photo class and I'm loving learning how to use my camera in manual mode. Here is an example:
Christine - Wow! This kid surprises me everyday! Here is what she is currently doing:
- Can count to 20
- Knows her Letters
- learning her colors
- LOVES to read
- Loves animals and says she wants to be a zoo keeper
- Can't wait to see the baby panda at the zoo
- asks Why?
- still has her Boo Bear
- Favorite phrases: "Hey guys" "Know what?" "Guess what!" "C-ya"
- Calls every animal/Stuffed or real "baby _____" example: Baby Zebra, Baby Cat, Baby Doggie, etc
- LOVES, LOVES singing and learns songs very quickly
- likes to read bible stories
- likes to help clean up
- TV favorites - Curious George, WonderPets, Dora, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse
- Talks about her Friends: Coleton, Sarah, Caleb, Avery Kate, Zach, Sophie, Duke
And here are some fun conversations we've had:
C (while eating breakfast): Where is my dada?
Me: at Work
C: What does he do?
Me: He's an analyst and works on a computer
C: Works on a computer?
Me: Yes
C: Da Da has a computer at home
(how do you explain why he has to go to work if he has a computer at home???)
C: Mommy, I am going to read the bible to you and you better listen
Me: OK
C (as she is turning the pages of my bible): Jonah was swallowed by a whale because he did not listen to God!
C (at dinner): I'm done!
Me: you need to eat a couple more bites
(I take her spoon and start scooping food up as she turns 180 degrees in her chair)
Me: Christine, here is your food to eat
C: I can't see it (because she is facing the other way in her chair)
Brian: Laughing out Loud
Me (as we are going upstairs to change a dirty diaper): Christine, you are a stink bug
C: No mommy, I am not a bug, I'm a girl
C: It's dark outside, Why?
Me: Because God created the daytime and the nighttime
C: Why?
Me: Because we need to sleep
C: Why?
Me: Because if we didn't sleep we would just be crabby all the time!
C: That would be funny!
